Fast talkin' lip shmackin' Dusto

Went on 3RRR today on The Grapevine with Kulja Coulston to talk about the album. Listened to the playback on radio on demand (http://ondemand.rrr.org.au at 11.30am roughly) when I got home and realised that I might be the FASTEST talking musician in Melbourne.

Who was that dude who wrote that book Praise in the 90s? Andrew McGahan wasn't it? He was the fastest talking dude I ever saw/heard talk. Or Fran Capo. She's pretty impressive:

Launch at Northcote Social Club of new album 28 October at 2pm.

http://northcotesocialclub.com/ says:

Melbourne symphonic popsters Jane Dust and the Giant Hoopoes proudly launch, into the galaxy, Jane’s triumphant third album, Space Odyssey: Part I, supported by The Paul Kidney Experience. Conceptual like her 2010 Vitamin Records album, Space Odyssey: Part I is a theatrical, individual and passionately bombastic ride into the darkest, most dastardly parts of the galaxy. Symphonic strings soar, trumpets howl and guitars gyrate to an overarching sonic narrative about a galactic hunt for an evil space menace, ‘The Creature’. With radio airplay under her bulging space utility belt, and the support of psychedelic surrealists The Paul Kidney Experience, this is a show not to be missed.

They're right.

We're launching the new album at the Northcote Social Club on Sunday, 28 October at 2pm with the Paul Kidney Experience.

Woo hoo! The quartet from the 2010 launch will be there. There will be glitter, glam and hovering at the show. Paul and his Experience will levitate you. JD and the GH will catapult you. Basically you'll be thrown around a whole bunch. But you must come or risk the tedium of being stationary for the afternoon. Boring! Let's dance.

$10 entry without the album. $20 entry with the album. Out on CD now. And bandcamp and all of that. The full space odyssey will be launched in 2014.
